My cuz has an ls motor and he has a good deal on some GSR cams and he wanted to know if there is a difference in the camshafts beacuse of the vtec. also I know the itr cams are better but would these cams make a difference?

:bo: :bo: :bo:

he'll have to go lsvtec.

if you put the gsr cams in a ls motor (assuming you actually do get them to fit somehow) the engine wouldn't even start.

they'll make a difference alright.

 VTEC cams use the middle lobes at high RPM's..................You know the one that the NON-VTEC cams don't even have!

NON-VTEC cams have 2 lobes on the intake cam and 2 on the exhaust cam per cylinder.

VTEC cams have 3 lobes on the intake cam and 3 on the exhaust cam per cylinder.
The middle one being the vtec!!!!! :D

Yes, and that middle lobe on the VTEC cams is exactly where the cam journals sit in the non-VTEC engines. You couldn't put GSR cams into an LS unless you ground off the VTEC lobes, and that wouldn't do you one damn bit of good.
