Umm, no. actually it will raise you compression slightly. The flow differences are so minimal between the two head that it makes no difference. The only time you would see a significant difference (the B16 head supposedly flows better) is on a full race engine. But in that case you should be getting some port work done so the flow characteristics of the stock casting would mean nothing to you.
 
yup, it increases CR by .2 and the flow is almost the same as the b16

The GSR flows a little more in the midrange and low rpms, while the b16 flows more on the topend..
