i'm building a ls vtec and want to know which would work best a b16 or gsr head?

which would get me more horsepower? GSR, right?
Not a ridiculous amount more but it would result in a horsepower increase.
The answer here really depends on what kind of a build you're doing. If you just want to slap on a stock head and go, then the GS-R head is probably your best bet. If you're going be rebuilding the head with after-market parts, then it doesn't really matter, just buy whatever head you can get for cheapest...
on a stock head swap, you will only get about a .2 compression bump.
