ok im tryin to save up around 3-4g's just for the motor...
i can either... buy LS motor...drop a vtec head... then go turbo...
or... buy a gsr motor..then turbo...
or buy a type r motor..then NO turbo...

right now looking at my funds i think LS vtec turbo would be the best choice..
but now performance being the biggest reason.. wut u guys think
would be the fastest overall...with least amount of money spent...?
most money spent...i might just go all out...

thanks...

soooooo

does that mean drag racing???????

welp then it depends on your budget

LS swap + turbo

or

GSR swap + turbo

dont bother with an ITR swap if you want it for drag racing

wut u think is better?

like overall maintenance problems...
including 1/4 times, 0-60, and money...

ls turbo or gsr turbo...?
im leaning ls turbo, cause its cheaper, and vtec kicks in quicker...

Hey one of my boys has a stock type r on 92-95 hb civic with no mods, but my other friends has a gsr motor in the same car. with a few bolt ons on the gsr, the gsr beats it, hands down. the sad thing of it all is the one with the type r spent $1000 more the the gsr to include the bolt ons. you do the math.

draging: ls/t
really fast draggin: gsr/t
road course/ autox: itr
fuck i should've waited and got a real motor: b16a

im gonna call that one :bs:
my boss had a 93 civic hatch with a ITR engine, header, intake, exhaust, and beat(by 2 1/2 car lengths) a 92 civic cx with a GSR swap, jun stage 1 cams, header, exhaust, intake, aem rail and regulator.

i was in the civic with the itr, and the kid with the gsr didnt spin or miss a shift or nothin. we launched at 3500-4000 gotta love LSD and azenis's. we had him right off the line and pulled another car and half on him.
