ok guys i have been helping my buddy get his swap done! and we got all the way to the point where i can get it started for him! but (there is always a but) tested the fuel check checked compression check went for spark no good! why because he didn't have a dizzy. so he ordered one got a obd2 dizzy. so it came in the mail and we put it in and it and boom the wiring is totally different!

(not sure it the pics work like that) the gsr dizzy has 9 wires and his ex has 7 wires! what should we do? i am so lost here! anyone had this problem please help me out

I am not sure about this but the connector on his engine harness looks like the obd1 dizzy connector , but there should be another two pin connector as well if it is anythign like my obd1 teg connector. So the 7 pins on the engine harness side would be the same as the 7 smaller pins on the dizzy side. One of the big pins is the rpm output for the tach .... the blue wire, the other big pin goes to the ignition switch which is blk /yel. I think the colors should all match up for you too .... but i might be mistaken.
