Swapper for life!
I'm wondering what cams would be best for my application. My GSR motor will most likely run about 15 lbs of boost, stock crank, and a really solid piston/rod combo like eagle h-beams and JE pistons. I just don't know where to start looking at cams, and some guidance would be nice. This will be a daily driver, but i'm willing to sacrifice a little drivability to smoke all the losers that just put loud mufflers on their escorts and saturns (and some civics).

your stock gsr should be beating them.. but at any rate gsr cams are just fine for a turbo motor. if your looking for something aliitle more try ctr cams or s2s2 cams. any upgrade would require dual springs and retainers though, but i dont think its worht the extra money for the low power level your looking for.

for a turbo'd car. I just keep reading that the best cams to use on a turbo'd car are gsr cams. Of course unless they are s2 ''turbo cams'' or something else. if you were talking about s2's turbo cams then my bad.

Not saying you wrong or anything just throwing it out since i hear everywhere. Even on this site.

The s2s2 probably has a bit too much duration. Looking at lift and duration specs,I remember that a ITR intake cam and a CTR ex cam will approximate what crower calls their stage 1 turbo cam setup. The gsr profile is good for turbo though.

IMO the stock GSR cams will work just fine.

sorry for the late reply. the ctr cams are better then the gsr cams dyno proven\. i could dig up some dynos if you want me to i just dont want to waste time if you dont want to see them. full race said there honda turbo cams were the same as blox stg 2's wich are the same are s2s2. not putting anyone down on here but i have not seen anyone on here make any high horse power turbo motors yet.

I'm with MikeBergy! But I think its the other way around, CTR intake and ITR exhaust?? I think the itr and ctr exhaust cam has the same specs. Or just add that ctr or itr intake cam and leave that gsr exhaust cam alone:D

mazworks cams vs gsr cams. 11.56 @ 253, 10.92 @ 250 thesae are right inbetween sk2's and typer/ctr's
