GSR vs. Z28......

what you think I have a a Teg GSR it's pretty much stock and I want to race a punk in a Z28 auto.....

what you think.....

do I even have a chance

depends the yr, but if its anything 93 and up.. no, they run mid 14's stock, 98 and up run low 13's.

before i turboed my gsr hatch i pulled on modded z28 on the interstate about 1 1/2 car lengths and kept pullin hard until the end of 4th..dont know how you drive and how he drives..hell i dont know either of you so we couldnt ever possibly tell you how youll do!

Yea you WOULD have a chance. I have seen an older Z28 (like 93-95) get taken out by a GSR. It was close but the GSR beat the Z by about 1 car. The new ones are faster than the older ones though. The older Z28's (like my friends '84) are way slow! My old single cam smoked my friends by like 4 cars!

Like Domeskilla and I said, if it's a 4th gen (93-up) he won't beat the Camaro, unless the guy can't drive an automatic.

It's a V8 people...four bangers were NOT built to run with V8s stock for stock.

Stock for stock V8's will beat 4 bangers. It is possible for a 4 banger to win with some mods.

yes with a lot of mods...but he's not modded. We're not debating the fact whether a modded 4 can beat a V8. He wanted to know about his stock GSR. "what ifs" and "if he had this" doesn't come into play.

i took a 4th gen on the highway in my GSR but it is definately not stock i have ctr intake cam itr tranny skunk 2 im apexi vafc dc sports 4-2-1 header fidanza cam gears greddy sp exhaust and some other minor things done to it but its an automatic i dont know what those ran the one i beat i am pretty sure was stock
