Gsr with rod threw the block

hi i bought a 94 Gsr yesterday for $400.00 but it has a rod all the way threw the block(#1 rod hangs out) I was wondering what you would thank would be the easyest way of getting it back running. also if you know of any sites i can find just the bottom end at?

well the first think you shold do is take the engine out take it apart and check the head for any damage if there is replace what you can for your sake i would hope you can at least keep the head take it to the shop have them check for any cracks on it and so on. now for the block depending on how deep your pockets are you can get a block from almost anywhere but if you are going to get a gsr motor it might cost you

A looooooong time ago, there was some dude either on here or on honda-tech that had a built B16 in a CRX that slung a rod, bought a new rod, JB Welded the block, and ran like a low 12 or something with the JB Welded block.

Anyone remember that shizz?
 
If the rod is all the way through the side of the block than its garbage and would be cheaper to get a new block altogether
