what happens if i don'yt change the rods with the pistons and just chage the pistons and valves when i rebuilt my engine will it still perform as well

Just buy the rods and wait until you get pistons.

You don't want to have to take the bottom end apart twice to put in the rods and pistons separatly.

The valvetain (retainters, valves, springs..) is all on the top end and can be put in together also.

But really, you don't want to rip apart the bottom end twice if you don't have to.


By valves did you mean gaskets? If so, then do it all at once to save money and trouble.
