Finished up putting a JDM H22/ auto trans into my '93 Accord Wagon. Cold air intake, ebay headers, but all else stock. Used the Accord fuel rail but h22 fuel regulator. I occasionally get a cel for knock sensor but it's intermittant. No other kicks particularly O2 or anything emissions related. Pretty sure that all vacume hoses are correct.

I've read about adding acetone but surely w/all the h22/f22 swaps, someone else has had/solved this problem.

Quick help appreciated; she's gotta pass by end of June!

    Tks,

    Bob

I have heard of acetone being used to reduce the surface tension of gasoline and making it combust better. Also acetone will help clean your inards. I think you might see the reverse affect at first, sort of like if you use seafoam and all that shit comes out the other side. What you could do if your sick of f'ing with it is get a pobox or a bank account in southern utah. Then register it there. They only have inspections. Also you might want to very carefully redo any wireing that has a code. You may have mickey moused something. Also is the black box installed? It is suppose to have emmisions stuff in it. Post a pic of your hoses and intake mani. How smooth does it run?

    Readings were:

    HC (ppm)
    Limit/Reading

    at speed 222/220
    idle 220/426

    CO(%)

    at speed 1.20/3.51
    idle1.20/1.91

Innards got pretty clean when I did a partial rebuild. In NV, only Clark (Vegas) and Washoe (Reno) counties require a smog check. Dunno if DMV takes PO Boxes but, worst to worst, I could get an addy in Pahrump (Nye Cty). Only code right now is VTEC solenoid but that's just a matter of looking at the splice job I did to the plug.

The black box (containing EGR solenoid, EGR vac control valve, MAP sensor, and EVAP purge control solenoid valve) is installed.

When I hooked up the vac hoses, I went by where the accord sensors hooked up to h22. Today I'm going to try to use the engine as reference and run the hoses (mentally) from the engine to the proper sensor.

    We'll see.

    Tks,

    Bob

I appreciate people taking a look at the hose routing. Happy to answer questions or get more shots if needed.

    Tks,

    Bob

How'd it go? Hey I would need to see a picture down inbetween the manifold and the engine. Rest of hoses look good. I'llthink about it.

seafoam wouldn't hurt. You said you did a partial rebuild, h ow much cake is in it. Someone could have really hot rodded the thing so it could be a lot of things.

I'll make a shot between the manifold tomorrow and post it. Thought I fixed it a few times but smog place says it's still running way rich. I have an appt Monday to have it looked at by an import place that's supposed to know this stuff.

I just need another set of eyes. I'm just too close to it I guess.
