I have a p14 ecu which is the single overhead cam with no vtec right? I was wondering if , I could run the p14 ecu with a vtec controller? would the h22a run perfect?

no, just get the correct ECU.....

no it wouldnt work. it has a different fuel map. get the stock ecu which i believe is the p13.

if you plan on doing anything big to the motor later (turbo, new piston or cam) id start looking for a socketed p28 or p72 that you can have someone make a base map for. the p13's only upgrade path is neptune.

if its sohc non vtec then it is not an h22a h23 maybe but go with the suggested p72

p14 is the h23 ecu. h23's also dohc, just non-vtec.

okay then i could uses that ecu just to see if it starts another qustion , would an F series tranny work on an H series?

Yes, the F-series tranny will work...well, assuming that it's not an S2000 tranny. Any FWD F-series tranny will work...
