what exactly makes the 97+ h22a have the 20 extra horsepower rating? is it just the .5 extra compression or does it have a better flowing head, intake, or what? the cam profiles are the same for both engines except for the SH prelude model having a slightly higher cam lobe height on the mid lobe.
the reason im asking is i have the 97+ engine but i also have the a cylinder head from the pre-96 h22a, im going to need to bolt the earlier style head to my engine so i can get my car to pass the referee test here in california. since im running obd1 the head can't be stamped 97+
