im gettin a h22a motor and my friends getting a 70's modle of the 302 think block mines going in a 95 honda civic hers is going in a 96 mustang h22a makes 200hp 302 think block make 210hp who do you think will win in a quarter mile

well when i had my h22a hatch, i beat my friends fox body 302, by around 4 cars. if that helps

this depends on the 302 and its history. some models were used in different cars and had different hp ratings. the 1982 302 in the GT mustang had only like 170 HP in the motor due to a marine cam being used due to the emissions and fuel savings. (i think it didnt do crap on the fuel savings personally). it also depends on the condition af the 302 your friend is getting. if its due for a rebuild then there will be compression loss for starters and the 302 might as well forget about wining a race. 302s are one of my passions. as is the fox body mustangs. i've had my 82 GT fox for 10 years nowand i've had a m 88 GT fox and a 95 GT in my stables. i've built plenty ore of them for other fox fans
