I have a problem with a friends h23 swap into a 95 del sol. The motor is in and wired up, but the car/motor is missing the purge control solenoid valve, cvc valve, egr control solenoid valve, and bypass control solenoid valve on the car. Is it ok to run the motor with these valves bypassed? The other problem is with the shift cables. when you put the shifter in what should be neutral, it is in 2nd, 4th, or R. when the shifter is in 1st, 3rd, or 5th, it is really in neutral. I tried to move the shifter assembley closer to the fire wall, but it did not change the shifting problem. I also tried to loosen up the cables to make sure that they were not getting cought on something, or being stretched. nothing worked. has anyone had this problem with a h22 or 23 swap into a civic?
