Whoever thought an external oil cooler was a good idea should also volunteer their time as a crash test dummy. They do not look cool, they provide a function. They don't need to be seen, they need to be protected.

1991 was the end of the line for those bodies, and Mazda never intended to sell during 1991, to prepare for the 3rd gen sales. All 1991 RX-7s are Convertibles, and there were about 500 of them. It's kinda like saying "1983 Corvette" or "1990 MR2"
 
That's 92, there were about 7000 hardtop 91's sold in the US


Turbo's being the rarest
