Hey guys, i was surfing the web looking at uh porn and then suddenly my computer freezes. It preceeds to restart, but gets stuck after it finishes detecting the hardware. I figured no big deal, I can recover. Now Im totally FUBAR.
I tried clearing my CMOS and starting everything as optimized default but the whole thing stays blank and it gives me an NVIDIA RAID IDE ROM BIOS error and says its detecting array.
I tried using the Windows XP disc and see if I could get into the recovery console, but it gets to the part where I type in commands and it just hangs.
To top it all off, it makes this really loud clicking noise. Like its trying to reboot spin up or something but is stuck. The tick is pretty loud, like someone tapping on a table.
I have a secondary harddrive that I switched to master and see if I can boot up with, but it hangs at the Windows XP screen and it just keeps searching for the crashed drive. The crashed drive continues to make that clicking noise. Eventually it gives me the IDE error again.
Is there any hope? Could it be a virus that I go from the porn or is it totally just f*** up? I dont want to try and boot it up again because I read somewhere that if I keep letting it click its just going to get worst. I know I shouldve been backing stuff up but I got lazy. I was trying to get around to it. I really want to get some important pictures and mp3s out. =( I definately cant afford to pay a pro to get it out.
