Head Gasket

    aight i am replacing the head gasket on my 89 CRX and i got the valve cover off along with the exhaust manifold and everything... i cant seem to get the head off...do i take out everything like the cam and stuff before i unbolt it or should i just unbolt it as is... and another thing... do i have to take off the intake manifold? thanks

    i'm pretty sure you need to take the cams out and you dont need to take the IM off.
    i took my cams out when i did it, but i was also replacing my valve springs/retainers...

    dude, you are going to have to take off the IM bracket because it bolts onto both the head and the block. just the bracket though. idk about d-series, but for my b16 i had to take out the cams to take out the head bolts. its pretty easy, just follow the right unbolting sequence or you'll warp the head and the cam.

    your putting a new HG in without planing the head?

    d series head dont need to take out cam... but u do need to take the im off
