Head replacement

Just got a 93 civic with a cracked head for $500, problem is... it has a cracked head, so I can't drive it home. How easy/quick is it to swap out the head on these motors... it seems like it shouldn't be bad, being sohc and all.

It isn't that difficult as long as you have the tool and the time. You do have to re-time the engine. I would go get AAA they are > 100 a year and well worth it for times like these
