    yup....

    Oil starvation....

It had a decent amount in the pan...but when I hit a long back stretch sweeping drift...the oil wasn't enough to stay near the oil pickup tube...and I guess it's a common problem that I didn't know about. A guy last night told me that they always run with an extra quart of oil in these engines when they raced...just for that reason....

And the Civic suffured the same death.,.....same corner....

But it was worth it... :)

yup....there is an F54 block and a P90 head sitting in my buddies junk 260Z in his yard...with only 1000 miles on it...

Now to just get a deisel maxima crank, 240sx pistons, and 240Z con rods...and then....well...

you know what that makes.... [IMG]

Next season is going to be fun..... :)

The thought has crossed my mind...a guy at work would help throw one together for me...but after looking at the ArizonaZcar oilpan....I think I'll go that route...

    http://www.arizonazcar.com/pan.html

easy to plumb a turbo, and an oilcooler...and it looks like it on my X-mas list.

Could always use an accumulator. Well, at least the engine f00rked right before the winter - you wouldn't be driving it anyways.

Good luck with the new motor though.
