Hello friends, this is my first post. Just found this forum. I've been researchon on how to reset my SRS light. Unfortuantely, I have the instructions, but do not know where my MES is located. I was hoping someone could kindly give me an idea. Thank you.

I'm such a goof ball. It was directly infront of me in the fuse box panel. Any way, I was able to successfully reset; I had changed the srs control unit. Glad it worked. I did the paper clip method. Basically:

1. located the MES (yellow prong that attaches to nothing in the fuse box)
2. Inserted on paper clip on one side and another on the other side.
3. held the two together and turn the ignition on
4. light was on for 6 seconds and turned off. I immediately held them together again until the light turned on and then let go.
5. After I let go, the SRS light blinked twice. I took out the paper clips and turned the key in the off position for 10 seconds and then started the car. That's it!

Sorry, I can't find the edit button.
I messed up the instructions. Here's a cut and paste:

1. Turn off ignition
2. Connect the SCS service connector (or paper clip) to the 2pin wire you take out of the drivers fuse box and is now hanging from a thicker harness.
3. Turn on ignition
4. SRS light comes on for 6 sec and then goes off. Before it has been off 4 sec, Remove the SCS connector (paper clip).
5.SRS light turns on again. Reconnect the SCS service connector withen 4 sec of light coming on
6. Light goes off, remove connector witeh 4 sec after light went off.
7. SRS light blibks 2 times telling you the memory is erased.
8. Turn ignition off for 10 seconds and start car
