I have a 94 tegra ls totally stock and was wondering on the direction to go and not spend a lrge wad of cash if i didn't have to I've been getting a lot of advice such as b16,and b18c heads, as well as complete motor swaps so what im basically doing is fishing for advice. oh by the way i'm looking to spend about $2000$ but I may spend more but this is a right now thing meaning that my only current concern is the motor, boost and other etc. will come later
 
i now NOS is a quick cheap boost but i'd rather have it running more powerful without nos I am an old GM man and from that i have the belief that NOS is a later resource after you've exhausted your other options.
 
ls/vtec + i/h/e.
or if you can wait a 'lil longer and save up another G or more... boost could be an option.

I agree,I'm a mopar head.I felt the same about nitrous until I put a 50shot on my dseries....wow,and no damage ever,zex kit=400=fun
