Helped swap an H23 in my buddies 'lude, it has no spark. The only things we can think of that would be an issue is the CPS as the H23 doesnt have one, Ignition could be faulty, something could be up with the distributor, or his ECU is garbage. He got a p28 supposedly tuned for the H23 so something could possibly be up with the tuning.... maybe.

come'on guys this dude needs hiscar up and going quick to go back to work
any info is appreciated
 
its a bluetop H23A with vtec from japan and even if that was the case a vtec computer will still run a non vtec motor
any other suggestions?
 
Did you check to see if the ECU is OBD I or OBDII. The motor is OBDI and im pretty sure it doesnt have a crank position sensor, and uses the distributor for that. I used a OBDI teg distributor, put all the internals in the prelude dist. and bolted it up and works great, i have no idea why. It is a great motor and hope you get it running.
