I have read the article on B series transmissions and could not
find an answer to my question.

First, I have a 95 GSR I bought used 6 months back. While browsing my
Integra forum, I came across a link to bseries.net. I checked out the
info on there and could not come to a conclusion. The barcoded number on
the bellhousing reads: S80 2019409

By that number I could have several different trannys. When I had the
car on the hoist, both wheels turn the same direction. Both wheels lay
rubber on the street. LSD was not an option for my car. I went to my
local Acura dealer, and he dug up his old microfiche to try and help me
identify my tranny. All the numbers for integras were either:
Y80 3xxxxxx or S80 3xxxxxx . The partsman said those 3xxxxxx numbers
were just sequence numbers and really don't mean anything. So why does
mine have a 2? The trans may not be the original, and I just can't
figure out what I have. I can't locate any other stampings besides "YSK
2" I can't locate any stamping that says "LSD" Could you be of some
assistance? Is there any way to find out without removing the trans?
Where exactly would casting numbers, etc. be found that may help me out?
Any help would be great!

Sorry for the long question.

Thanks!

Your car is nine years old. It's very possible that someone installed an LSD into the tranny at some point. If so, there would be no exterior OEM markings on the housing to indicate that.
