might as well put it in what ya got. do the manual conversion and call it a day, and pray for 13's, let alone 12's :)
 
Go crx, with it being so light it wil save you money on suspension and motor work so you can be very selective with the parts you pick. Even just dropping the built motor in it with a turbo kit pushin' like 10-15 psi you should be able to at least hit low 13's high 12's. Check out this site for turbos: Honda Performance Racing Products for International Sales from SSAutochrome Inc. they have cheaper kits. They may not be the best out there (I'm not much of a turbo expert) but take a looka nd let me know if I found a site worth going to.

5.0 notchback 5spd, gut it... there's 12s, suspension and tires, there's your autox.

It can do it... trust me I get continuously raped by one at a local event.
 
Do something different. Maybe a 4-door 89-91? Everyone has CRX's.
 
why cant he run the coupe box civic...thatd be fun....not....dont listen to him....he knows not what he sayd :p
