Help On 96 Accord SRS Light

Normally when you turn on the ignition your SRS light supost to go on for couple second then turn off but when i got my car the SRS light doesn't go on I tried to connect both of the AIRBAG into the connector can someone help? Please.
 
I wouldn't mess with it unless you have a good manual, and some common sense. I know I wouldn't like a 200 mph punch in the jaw, but suit yourself. I've felt what a bag does in a wreck, and I wouldn't wanna be bent over by the steering wheel if that fucker pops. Take it to a dealer.
