help (Rpms Stop at 5500 )

I have a 95 honda accord vtec and my rpms rev to 5500 and stop. Its not throwing any codes at all and we just changed the oil, oil filter, put all new plugs, an intake, and a breather on it. and it still stops at 5500. Some help me out on what to do. :confused:
 
did you by chance change the ECU's at any point in time??? and also if your not pulling a code, seriously pull your dash and check that bulb, cus you would be really surprised
 
no i havent messed with that i was told by a friend of mine that someone in the past who had the car could of set a rev limiter and id have to change it in the ecu, but my friends said that makes no sense but yea thats a good idea.
 
i mean honestly it almost sounds as if it has a automatic ecu in the car.....
