help with crx dx swap to d16a6 *mpfi*

I swapped out a dx motor and put in a d16a6 and it is having many problems. For one I think it was wired up wrong and it is throwing the map #5 code. It will start but it sounds like the engine is about to jump out of the car. it putts and when you push on the gas it stalls. It also has a problem with shutting off. You can actually take the key out and it will still run. It also pours white smoke out the back. The compression is from the dizzy to the head 280-280-60-60. I dont know what to do Please help someone.

based on your compression check, the engine is bad. But assuming you could have done it wrong, i'll troubleshoot further.

When you did the MPFI wiring did you:
- Swap the outside TPS wires?
- Connect the MAP's 3-pin plug to the TPS by accident and vice-verse?

Also, was this a AUTO to Manual conversion - i'm aware of a "still running" problem with that.
