Today i was pulling the b16 head of the block and to make a long story short i looked at the tranny. I see on the gold barcode thingy its says S1 I was like wtf, the engine was supposively from japan and its a obdo b16 anyways so how does it have a ls tranny on it. So am i reading this wrong or did i get fugged cause i did ask for the sir tranny. Code= S1-1052xxx , block says b16a 1027xxx. So if you could help me out thanx guys.

JDM B16 Sir1 engines came with the Y1, S1 and J1 trannies. The Y1 and S1 are the same and the J1 has slightly shorter gearing (I think). The LS tranny is the YS1. Don't worry. You have the correct tranny
