sorry for the double post, i am replacing a head on a 88 crx si. i have got a whole new gasket set and timing belt and water pump, i am also replacing the small items like plugs and things like, what i want to know is weather it's worth it to do so. i have small funds and need my car runing asap. I know the head is blowen cause i was coming home one day and the temp gauge was all the way over and i pulled over, there was still oil in the bottom of the oil pan like 4-5 quates of oil in, when i dained the oil no metal was found. how ever my bother started the car, and tried to move the day after it made a lot noise when you gave it gas, the oil and temp gauge was all over the place and it only ran for a little while ideaing, but when you gave it gas it made the noise killed.
