High Beam and AC stick 2001 civic lx

I just recently bought a 2001 civic lx private sale. Driving at night I found that the passenger side high beam will not work, although the low beam will. The driver side functions properly.

I also found that my A/C will not turn off, I guess it's not too bad right now since it's summer.. but winter in Manitoba isn't friendly especially with a stuck a/c.

Just wondering what suggestions you may have.

I replaced both headlights, and the problem remained.

I'd check the switch for the A/C system. If the switch is shorted it will never turn off. I don't know about the headlight, but I would check that circuit with a multimeter. You can check the voltage to the headlight connector and then switch to high beam. If you are not getting the voltage to the high beam side, start looking at connectors and for bad wires.
