my friend wants to turbo his car and I don't think it's a good idea because it's got 200k on it. it doesn't burn ANY oil at all which is good. it's a stock d15b2. He said he only wants to run low boost on a conservative tune. I guess he just wants to do a mpfi swap and boost it and more or less use it as a DD/weekend racer. what's your guys input? Also I told him that he would have to get an si dizzy to do the mpfi swap but he thinks he can get away with keeping his stock one. so let me know.

thanks

do a leakdown test to show the true state of the engine. 200k can be a very easy 200k, or a very very hard 200k. hard to tell without knowing just how well the engine has been treated.

I would at least get the rods shot peened or buy low mile rods with ARP rod bolts. Of course new bearings and rings.

200k is quite a bit, rods stretch and get soft over the years. measure them and if they are up to spec then go for it!
