I don't know if its a repost or old news, but I just read in a few car magazines the RSX will be discontinued as of 2007 (most likely US market only) and a possible replacement will be a 2-door TSX. Good bye old friend. Thanks for the introduction of Type-R and a great 20 year run.

Also, a turbo Honda automobile is finally being released after the 30 some years after the City, in the from of the new Acura RDX turbo. The engine is a 2.3L 4 banger thats making 240hp. Can you say, swap? Probably better to build a K24 frank and turbo.

Anyway, hope this isnt a repost. I was shocked about all the news.

acura is going back to its roots--- LUXURY. the integra ruined that, and they've been fighting to get it back ever since.

but the RDX info is a repost :p

well you can't say that the Integra was somethign that was killing acura and there going back to their roots because the integra was there basicly from the start and it was just a nicer version of the civic, and it has been that way since.

...but it never sold nearly as well as the Civic and the integras has always been the lagging dog. This is why they dumped the integra and moved to the modern integra - the rsx.

So in short, the integra/rsx has been killing what honda/acura has wanted to do with their line up for a long while now, but they didn't want to alienate a segment of their consumers.

+1 for an even sportier TSX
+1 for an even more aggressive S2k
+1 for a special civic type r run thats worthwhile and meaningful
+1 for acura to crack into the big leagues of super luxury cars and be able to compete with top german cars like audi's RS series or BMW's M series.

That isn't really why the Integra was dropped and the RSX replaced it. The reason why the 4th gen Integra was called an RSX was because the Integra was the only car left with a name instead of a bunch of letters left in the US, so they changed it the the RSX. In the rest of the world, it was still called the integra. It was just a marketing name change.
