A friend of mine has an 04 Si and he wants to know if he should get the VAFCII or a Hondata ECU?

what is done to the si?

if its stock, don't bother with either.
if its i/h/e, don't bother with either.

if he has some serious head work/cams/up'ed compression, or is boosted, get the hondata k-reflash.

the vafc is pretty worthless now-a-days.

Werd I am with B on this one.

i dunno if I'd say worthless, there are just a lot better options for only a fraction more.

Speaking of hondata, I went to Kmotorsports cause I was going to get my car tuned there. And I asked him what he tunes, he name a few different things but not Hondata or Uber. I ask him if he does it and he said he could but he claims hondata is so much more complex to tune than any of the other systems he uses.

food for thought, i don't have first hand experience with hondata.
