so i got my S200 system today ^_^ . i'm happy. now i've soldered everything into place.
my question is: does the image burned on the rom matter?
I already have my chip burned w/ stock fuel/ignition maps, just took off the top speed lim and downed the vtec point. I burned the current chip using a .bin map i found on pgmfi.org. But when i plug hondata in, the LED status light flashes to tell me that there's an "incorrect rom used for ecu". So do i have to reprogram the chip using any image made via the Hondata Rom Editor? Or does it have to be one of the profiles in the "hondata" folder that's installed by default with the rom editor software.
Thanks alot!
