Uh, yeah. Someone is dumb. Sneakers, and tight thin leather pants. This is why I'm opposed to allowing people with double-digit IQ's under 80 to staying alive.

    The hip shot was nice...

I thought this was going to be the girl who fell off the back of her boyfriend's bike from a few years ago.

Well not "feel bad" but to kick her while she's down ? You learned a lesson, and now she will.

I haven't learned my lesson, I can't walk around in most bike shoes (I can ride with them, obviously) so I wear either work boots or sneakers (Rarely sneakers, but I've worn sandals too)

And to get the foam SPRAYING out of your mouth, I sometimes ride without a brain bucket :) I rarely wear my riding pants (Unless I'm planning a long trip, I should be wearing them to Clayton's house this saturday)(not only for safety, but because I look damned good in them) and I mostly don't wear gloves.

Depends on the riding experience that I'm looking for that day.

So do I ! I hope no one crashes. A helmet, and other riding gear is essential to avoid certain injuries. You're GOING to be BETTER OFF with any one of the gear items.

But I ALWAYS wear a helmet when I'm riding a horse. Do you know people who don't ? Autocrosses and track events require helmet - even though an autocross never goes faster than like 30 mph. Yet, are you wearing a helmet in your car on the way home ?

    Why not ?

You see all the gear that's out there WILL HELP YOU in any condition, any accident. Your choice to wear that gear is a perogative. And that Perogative is protected in CT (We have no helmet law anymore). At the risk of sounding ignorant as hell, There is a saying when choosing a helmet for the ride : "You want an open casket funeral, or a closed one?"

It's a bit ignorant, but if you look deeper into it, it raises a point. People pretend that by not using full safety gear, you're tempting fate and tempting an incident. This is false. That's like thinking that people don't die in Volvos. It actually happens more times than not.

I had this conversation with Chris. If Chris isn't coming, then it's my skinny ass he's going end up chasing around with a screwdriver. Bad times, bad times.

How pathetic is a forum dedicated to a specific brand of sneakers ?

    That's e-boredom at it's apex.
