YouTube - Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin - UFC Fight Night 13 Video 8 second KO, I would have never guessed he would drop two in a row after walking through Keith Jardine
nice pseudo-superman. can't complain about that one getting stopped. he went stiff on that one. i would expect better. he walked up to the guy like it was a street fight and he took one to the chin.
yeah he said he was fine but if the punch didn't level him he must have had heat stroke at that exact moment because he crumpled to the ground like a sack of potatoes
he went stiff and couldn't defend himself. if you are a referee, you err on the side of judgement. it's better to have a bout stopped than to go on too long and someone get brain damage.
i dunno, he seems to show constant movement what time do you see him going limp? 2.08 he gets knocked down 2.09 he's on his back 2.10 he catches another blow 2.11 he catches a punch and his back lays down again, appears to be from the right knee on his ribs 2.12 its ended he seems to have his hands up the whole time all i'm saying is it seems questionable i'm not questioning the ref he had a different view point just my 2 dollars (2 cents in euro)
true. i agree with you. youtube view is a lot different than actually standing 2 feet away. hell, he could have seen that guys eyes roll back or heard a pop or something.
He looks like he's about to get up right as the ref calls it. The ref called it pretty damn fast. I realize the first big blow looked massive but I dont feel it was. Def caught him off guard
i dont' think it was the first shot that caused it. the following three bounced his head off the mat. looked painful.
it was actually about 4 seconds. the first 4 they were walking to the center and tapping gloves. haha, ok. i'm at work so i'm pretty limited on replays. ^_^
I think the ref jumped in too soon. Would it have ended another 5 seconds from there, probably. Like someone said though, his eyes could have rolled or something and I know Steve Mazzegati is a good ref so I trust his decision.
