I took off my EGR valve yesterday to clean it and it was caked in deposits. I discovered that mine does have a diapraghm and it was just stuck (causing problems, I bet) but I was wanting to know how I should clean out the area of the engine that it was attached to(not the gasket area, but inside, where more deposits are). Just use a toothbrush? vacuum?
