Just bought a oil temp gauge for my ek itr.Where is the ideal spot to drill/tap the actual probe that reads the oil temp? The instructions only tell me how to hook up the gauge lighting but nothing on where to locate the oil temp probe.HELP!

there are spots on the block like the stok oil pressure sender that can be remoived and a T installed then thread it in

that or you can buy an adapter plate that fits right onto the oil filter fitting. take off the filter, put on the adapter, plug the sending wire into it, and put the filter back ontop of the adapter plate. it's that easy.

it's basically a point where you can screw in a sending unit on your oil pan...you'd have to take the pan off to do it though, but it would be cheaper. take the pan off and get a "bung" and weld it into place. a bung is basically a nut with rounded edges and no holes where oil can escape. get a bung to fit your sending unit and weld it on, screw in the sending unit and you're done.
