Find out your geek level by completing this test. You need a pencil and paper to write down your numbers.

I ended up scoring a 240, which is Level 0 geek. Remember this is a geek test, not a nerd test (subtle differences :) ). I still thought I'd score much geekier though. :(

It's straight html text, but yeah I guess a little javascript could have been used to tally the score for you. :)

-585, I came in to the last part with 230, and the last part allowed me to regain my coolness. But yeah I would have rather had it add it up for me.

I am Sybok. I am the meaning of life, not some weird number 42. Nanoo nanoo. :lmao:

Was 2405 before the "anti-geek" points. I haven't even done a whole lot of the super duper "uber geek" crap that was on that test. Scary. My brother would honestly score somewhere around 4000 on this test.

The scary thing is that I knew what everything was, whether or not I had done/had it.

I am such a geek that I find myself above taking the test. I wonder how many points I would get for gutting a cd-rom for the motor then rewinding it for use in an R/C airplane and powering it with 3 cell phone batterys. BTW this thing kicks but. I highly recommend it if you have the means.

I think the geekiest thing my friends and I did was make a point to point network connection using laser pointer diodes and photocells. It worked great till something got in between it.

Yeah, we were going to do that freshman year in college so that I could tap into the university's T1 lines while living in the more plush private dorm (which wasn't jacked in yet), but weather and random flying things shot the idea down. Instead, I wired my apartment complex (next year) with a 10base2 line converted down to 2 conductor phone cable and caulked it into the grooves in the sidewalk. Instant apartment complex network.
