How to change Gauges?

I dont know what it is called but I would like to make a tach on the dash
I have a 1997 Civic CX and it does not have a tach I need rip out the dash and Take that out and I would like to put in the SI Gauges What is it called a Cluster?

so first if your wanting a si gauge cluster you dont need to rip out the dash, you can just unscrew the cover, and unscrew the cluster. the si gauge cluster should just plug right in. but if your wanting a tack on your dash autometer makes a nice tach for on the dash. and if your installing a autometer tach, the green wire you can just wire it to the little blue plug in the engine compartment next to your clutch resovior.

like dude said above, unscrew the cover and unscrew the cluster and plug the new one in, honda was smart in having the clusters compatibal with each other, its all plug and play(mostly)
