how to put in 99-00 SI ecu into a '97 civic ex

Sup yo, I'm trying to put in a 99-00 SI ecu into my '97 civic ex. From what i've read up so far, those 2 harness' (EX and SI ECUs) should just be the same right?not!! there are three plugs but only two from the SI ecu fits into the ex plugs. does that mean i have to get a harness for the 3rd plug? (sorry wrong board; now i don't know how to delete this...)
 
I have also been down your road all the ecu's. I have a 2000 si and its seems that the 99-00 civics are an OBD2b pt2 ecu where as the other years 96-98 are OBD2a the only difference is the ecu plugs. You can buy a harness to make it work from skunk 2 or www.jkobdconversionharness.com
