ok.. need to know how to remove tires.. i dont wanna take them to a shop, so i'm just wondering if there is an easy way for me to do it myself

You need one of those tire bar things and a big screwdriver, and some soap.
And it's going to take you all day to ding the shit out of your rims and possibly stab thru your tires.
It's cheap to have a shop pop all 4 off for $5-10.

Good luck getting through the bead. Just have a shop do it. Discount only charges $2 apiece for disposal, and if you talk nicely to the manager, you can usually get it done for free. I've done it many times.

got em off already.. took about an hour for both tires.. i just cut it all the way around, got a good hold on the tire and pulled it off.. the little piece i busted out the Dremel and cut the inside lip since it has about 10 thin steel rods or whatever you call them.. piece of cake

manual tire changing isent that bad but it helps to have an extra person or 2 cause you will get tired.

Take a bar that will fit inside the hole of the rim that the hub sits in., a tire iron not a 4way, cut the lug end off and slide it into another bar and see if it will fit snugly, if your carefull you wont damage your rim.

and lots of soap or some kinda oil type substance like vegy oil. something that will clean up easy.

after you get your tyires off I suggest you go to a shop preferably a coop cause there cheaper and have them put your new tires on.

if you want to do it your self go to harbor fraight and get a manual tire changer and make sure you ankor it to the ground, you can get a manual balancer from them also and I beleave you can get the weights also, if your luckey you might find the stick on kind but thats a static balance so weight your options.

fuck.. take it to a high school. let them do it for free.

Funny story... a friend of mine, my age, brought his jeep to the highschool we went to, his mother is a teacher there. He figured its free, and all he wants is for them to put his summer tires back on and take his winters off. Well, the fucks at the auto shop class didnt tighten all of his lugs, so while he was on his 4 hour trip from VT to Maine, the front driver side wheel came off... rolling across the highway. (he was doing about 60 when it happened)

lmao!

Kind of reminds me of the time when I was having my escort repaired and the fucktards at the professional ASE certified shop didn't tighten the valve cover bolts down. Before I noticed it, I wondered how I lost a quart of oil within 3 days.
