I have a buddy with a 1949 Pontiac Chieftain that he needs to transport from Texas to Iowa. He's gotten a couple quotes from some pretty shady places. Does anyone know of some reputable (and cheap) movers? I figured I'd ask you guys since I used to hang out here a lot.

any movers you find, check their reputation with the better business bureau.

I don't really trust the BBB. Even the companies that have a good rating from the BBB have at least a few horror stories littered around the web.

I bought my CRX on ebay and had it shipped via autotransport.com. $350 from Middle-Ohio to Chicago suburbs, and it went down perfectly fine.
