how to tell what year a block is

is there any way to tell what year a block and heads is on a b18cr .

Above where the header mounts are 3 or 4 little clock like looking stamps that give the year month and day the motor was built on.

Its for when the whole motor was made, but if you only have the block, I dont know.

the head has 95 stamped on it.i just bought a96-97 jdm 18cr swap and some things just dont make sence.like the plug wires have 1990 stamped on them.i just want to make sure i got what i paid for,you know what i mean.

well, 95 could be a 95 or a 96.. so if you bought a 96spec itr swap then thats most likely what you have seeing the head is a pr3.. LSD tranny??
