whats up fellas how you all doing...

i have a 89 zc motor that spun a bearing
and in a few days im going 2 pick up a d16a6
my idea for my set is

    d16a6 block
    zc dome pistons
    and
    a d16y8 head...

    those this sound good?

    i know when you put a y8 head on a d16a6 block
    the comp goes up ..
but how much more will it be with the zc pistons?

i do not think you will be able to run that setup..i think the pistons are going to be too tall and crash valves...but im not positive

depending on which head gasket you use, i get 11.6 to 12.46 for the Z6 head and 12.3 to 13.08 for the Y8 head

piston to deck height with the DOHC ZC PM7/P29 pistons is 0.040"

You could try this, its a no-tec setup but who needs vtec?

    D16a6 block (75mm bore)
    D16a6 crank
D16a6/ LS rods modified to fit crank (137mm)
    D16a1 P29 pistons
D16a6/b2/b7 head (0.005 milled for resurfacing)
    D15b7/a6 head gasket (0.048in)
    Block deck milled (0.020 in)

    11.50:1 compression ratio W/ 1590cc dis

    0.019 piston-to-deck height
    1.52:1 rod / stroke ratio
