PAINT COMPRESSOR QUESTION? Paint job

to paint my car, 5.5 hp, and a hvlp gun that requires a lower cfm psi rating. Will this compressor do the job for painting my car? Since it has 5.5 hp which is pretty high or 1hp above minimum require ments will it shut off or ruin the paint if i dont do 1 panel at a time? only 9 gallons so i figured with 5.5 hp it would recharge a hella lot quicker? i was just wondering because these are available for rent for 46 bux a day and i dont want to spend 600 dollar on a air compressor for a paint job.
