hybrid transmission?

I read in an article on this site that you can't mate a D16a1 transmission to usdm d-series blocks, but does anyone know if you can take the gears from a d16a1 and just put them in a usdm d-series transmission housing.

And if it is possible would I still be able to use final drive gear from the '88 CRX Si.

Integra transmission, for the D16A1, gears will not work in the 88-91 D-series L3 transmission

Thanks for the info, i guess i'll have to look at doing something else.
