well after what seemed like forever i finally found a DD. Ive driven a bunch of cars and quality for the money a saab 9-3 was right where i was at. It gets decent gas milage, insurance is ungodly cheap, quicker than any of my stock honda's ive driven, and not much slower than my swapped hatch was (butt dyno to me anyway) and comfortable.

I picked upa 2001 saab 9-3 s. I like that it doesnt have leather because i really dont like leather interior all that much anyway. anywho heres the pics, i put the deposit on it today and am going back to pick it up on tuesday with insurance and all that stuff. so what do ya think?

My roomate just bought a 96' 900 SE Turbo. Pretty nice car, but kind of quirky.

I think the interior belongs in a truck somewhere.

Other than that, it's probably not too bad. I've never liked the back half of a Saab yet though.

I drove it around a bit today, and its a pretty fun car. Withe the TCS off it rips through second with ease. And yeah the resale sucks but i got this for a helluva deal. It came with all the orig warranty info/manuals etc and had the window sticker. It sold in 2001 at Princeton Saab for 29,999. And i can tell you i probably got this for OTD less than the orig owner put as a down payment.

Id reccomend this as your winter beater. Ive found they are good in the snow, especially with the TCS, good gas milage, kinda fun to drive(an intake, boost controller and a chip would make it more fun) , cheap insurance. I mean if you cant find a decent awd car for cheap this is better than rocking another cheap ass overpriced civic.

oh and the trunk is ungodly large. I think i could fit 3 people in it lol. I am also just getting used to power windows, locks, mirrors, heated seats, sunroof, and CUP HOLDERS!!!1!11 Ive never owned a car with any of these (minus the sunroof), very exciting

honestly for the quality id be just as happy driving a nice stock DC2 or newer prelude, but just try and find one that hasnt been beaten to shit or any where near a round about 5k- 6k price range, not gonna happen.

Viggen's are nice - electric blue FTW - I miss driving that car sometimes.

Currently have 06 9-3 - I love it, not a single problem and getting 500m/tank is wonderful as well, especially coming in with 230hp...

I almost bought a 99 electric blue 2dr viggen, 70k on it, for 9000, but didnt want to finance at all for only an extra 4000 or so, so i settled for a regular 9-3. It was really nice, and alot faster than i thought it would be.
