Toyota Simulator is Today's BIG Thing in Technology - MAR 12, 2010
your D key is still stuck
Question..... How do people not know to turn the fucking engine off if the gas pedal sticks?
Old + scared + retarded + news hype and rumors + congressional hearings + paranoia = human error...fuckin ridiculous
So now your a mathematician eh??
But yes, this equation spells it out. There is some fishy stuff going on with this whole thing. I saw one lady on the news when I was back in D.C. claiming that she shifted her car into neutral and it was still accelerating... Unless transmissions are shift by wire now. I honestly don't know how the new cars are setup in this regard.
Someone told me that in a stuck acceleration situation, putting the engine in neutral doesn't disengage the electric motors. Sounds fishy to me as not all of the fatal crashes were hybrids...
Given the fact that the government has a controlling stake in GM, and Toyota is the main competitor to Government Motors, This is obviously a black ops situation where through hypnosis/mind control/HAARP they've made people intentionally wreck their vehicles to tarnish the reputation of Toyota and increase profits. As soon as the rumors of Toyota's lack of safety spread, GM comes out with a stimulus incentive to convert Toyota owners to their side:
GM offering $1,000 to Toyota owners - Jan. 27, 2010
Sound familiar? A government entity giving you a stimulus incentive to gain your loyalty? This has conspiracy written all over it.
i think it's a bullshit conspiracy too.
so the guy who had the cop stop him the other day....he had time to dial 911, talk to the police, drive around in l.a. traffic, and now wont talk to the media anymore.
i bet $50 he's dead in a week by "natural causes" lol
seriously though. who has 20 minutes to chat on their celly without thinking to put it into neutral or shut it off?
how about putting it into "b mode".
also, the guys brakes were worn down to the metal pads. meaning he rides the shit out of his brakes rather than slamming them.
At the risk of sounding like a paranoid old man, I agree 100%...follow the money.
Umm ya, and if you've EVER driven in or around LA, you would know that his reported speed of 81mph (from the 911 transscript) is cruising speed on the 405, etc.
In fact, at 81 you are getting BLOWN THE FUCK AWAY...so how is it that this guy is driving at normal cruising speed and has a meltdown...? Hmmm? Since when is 80 mph out of control...
It's not like he was doing 150
And what about that old lady that reversed into a stonewall in NY somewhere...same shit...it's either panic or they are all set up.
the news report i saw had him recorded going as fast as 94. 94mph for 20 minutes is traveling roughly 32 miles. at no point in 32 miles of highway you couldn't keep it together?
hell, if i was in that situation i would have rode the brakes, shut off the car, downshifted, pulled the ebrake and just rode it into the back of a semi truck to slow me down.
some people just aren't car people. drivers ed in the u.s. sucks. they teach you how to parallel park and drive in the slow lane on teh freeway. no evasive maneuvers, high speed braking, or dangerous roads testing.
The Prius transmission is shift by wire (it's just a little joystick for drive, reverse, and 'engine brake', with a button for park), but I don't see how all these systems could possibly fail at the same time.
I may have seen first hand how the acceleration problem could manifest itself though...
