Didn't we all tell you to get the damn WRX when you made that poll months ago? And what did you get? And how do you like it? Are you ready to listen to us now, or are you going to blow this off like you did the last time?

BTW- fuck cars. Go save up for college. Cars are a devestment, meaning, they make you lose money no matter how you look at it. Drive what you have, hate it, and go to college if you're not doing so already. Get out of your hole.

Don't be rude, sarcastic, an ass or go off topic because I won't even dignify your responses.

I listened but I also couldn't find any WRXs within 100 miles that were cheaper than 20k. The difference is now I'm willing (and have the time) to look around online and drive a few hours to get it.

You also told me not to get a Celica GT-S, which is what I really wanted.

Why are you making major financial decisions based on what a bunch of strangers online tell you? Maybe it's time to review your thought process.

With a WRX you can upgrade the Turbo and exhaust and have 260 hp for that 600 bucks. (rough guestimate)

Turbo alone is at least a grand, and you won't need that to hit 260 HP. Stock is 227, and you can EASILY hit 265 with an exhaust and rechipped ECU.

Hey, don't get your panties in a bunch because I'm telling it how it is.

You'd pay 1000 dollars to upgrade your turbo? I dunno about that.

I'm not making financial decisions based on people I don't know....I'm asking for simple advice.

:werd: Its only a car. I drove a 91 Civic dx 4dr sedan for 4 years during college, so you can suck it up. Work on getting an education or learn a trade of somesorts so you can afford a Civic SI or WRX without working two jobs.

I have a career, and I don't need college to do it. I've taken a few college classes after high school, all it did was cut into my work hours and paycheck. It's just a matter of time to be able to work up the ranks. I can't just suddenly get a 3 dollar an hour raise just like that.

I drove a 91 Geo Metro for a year and my 92 Escort for 2 years. I got tired of driving a piece of shit that doesn't get any respect. But now all i see is myself driving something everyone else is also driving....
Like I said, I DON'T need the second job to afford the Si, or the WRX for that matter, BUT, to have money for modifications and other miscellaneous shit, I'd need a few extra dollars a week.

Hey, if you're gonna do it, do it right.

Oh no? Then explain this statement:

You also told me not to get a Celica GT-S, which is what I really wanted.

I dunno about anyone else, but to me that sounds like, "I wanted the GT-S, but since you said not to get it, I didn't."

I have a career, and I don't need college to do it.

CAREER? You deliver fucking pizzas and are thinking about getting a job at WALMART! Are you fucking kidding me? Career? Christ, any 16 year old can get those jobs! Career... keep telling yourself that...

You're annoying me, mainly because you think you know whats going on. But obviously you don't.

1000 bucks for a turbo is rediculous. if you want to spnd that damn much go ahead.

You completely took the context of the 'you told me not to get...' statement out of line. Acting like I based my entire decision on what he said. What I was saying was, pretty much every car I said I wanted, he told me not to get. Made me feel he was just being an ass, so I never listened to his biased one sided advice anyway. I mean hell, he obviously doesn't know me. But i'm so fucking sorry for asking for advice. If you feel you can't help me out in my decision, then why bother fucking posting?

I have a career and I DO NOT FUCKING DELIVER PIZZAS!!! How many times do I have to say that?

What the fuck part of 2 jobs don't you understand? I work for my dad, he owns a telephone service. Seeing as how he worked for 21 years with GTE and then started his own business as a digital telephone systems provider and network administrators, I would say that's a career. We do everything from run network and telephone wiring to install digital systems in other business and taylor the fucking system to their every whim. When you can pre wire an entire fucking building in three days, and then come back and put together a WIN digital 440CT system with a CPU, 16dktl, 8 COT and a 4 STL and then program the whole fucking thing for 9 phones, including 2 cordless, 6 lines, in under 3 days, THEN and ONLY THEN you can tell me I don't have a career based job on my hands. Now get the fuck off my ass Loco.

Damn... James just owned him and a half, hardcore.

I say get the Scooby only because they are awesome vehicles. Personally, I think the Si was the wrong choice in the first place. If that ghey Nissan dealership hadn't fucked you in the first place, I think that the SE-R would have been awesome. They have sooo much torque and a great LSD from the factory.

Anyhoo, good luck no matter what you choose to do! :D

You'll never get 15500 for a trade in on an Si.

I got 12500 for mine with 50k, mint paint, and new tires, no dings, dents, scratches. And that was after I walked out on the dealer when they came back with a trade in of 10500.

15500 is 1700 less than what the car was brand new back in 2000...

I wouldn't work two jobs just to have a wrx. Stay with what you have now until you are a little more financially stable. I don't know if you are going to school now but do that, find a trade, or one good full time job.

Werd. Don't overextend yourself for a car or anything like that. Live within your means. Use this to motivate you to find yourself a better job. Don't live from paycheck to paycheck. Build up some savings for emergencies.

hes working 2 jobs just to have a civic Si

not really much of a difference

Well no way that he's in a position to buy a more expensive car. No car is worth it. If it's really true love and a great car, he can buy a WRX later on when it gets to be an older car and cheaper. I was happy to find my '94 GS-R for only $2500. How I love the used car market!

You're both wrong, so shut up. :)

I paid $1100 for an uppipe, underdrive crank pulley and reflashed ECU. Gets me roughly 280 horsepower to the crank. (Vishnu Stage 0)

Vishnu has done wonderful things for WRX's. Check this sheezy out

And you can get a VF34 or VF40 turbo that has an integral wastegate for $400-$600, depending on where you get it from, and if it's slightly used or not. It's a direct bolt-on for lots of power with a little tuning.
